Zola Mildred Crocker of Gray Summit, Missouri departed this life on February 13, 2008 at Desloge National Health Care, having reached the age of ninety five years, nine months and twenty days. She was born on April 24, 1912 at Bixby, Missouri, a daughter of the late Issac Clements and Betty Shipp Clements.
She was united in marriage on January 22, 1927 to James Ward Crocker. He preceded her in death. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother; a dear sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Gray Summit. She was truly loved by her family and all who knew her.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sons, Roy Lee Crocker, Aaron Crocker, William (Bill) Crocker, Edward Crocker and Perry Crocker; three great grandchildren, Crystal Crocker, Nathanial Crocker and Craig Warden; six sisters, Stella Bachmann, Lorene Sumpter, Della Circulan, Bessie Wells, Hattie Barton, Margie Short and Maggie Turnbough; three brothers, Roman Clements, Homer Clements and George Clements.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include two sons, Oliver Crocker and wife, Alta of Potosi, Donnie Crocker and wife, Della of Desloge; three daughters, Aileen Lawson and husband, James of Park Hills, Betty Warden and husband, George of Potosi, Marie Summers and husband, Boyd of Gray Summit; two daughters-in-law, Ruby Crocker, Doris Lawson; twenty-six grandchildren; fifty-three great grandchildren; thirty-three great-great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, February 16, 2008, 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Ron Walters officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Crocker, Roger Crocker, Wayne Crocker, Randy Crocker, David Warden, Tony Lawson; honorary pallbearers, Keith Summers, Jimmy McClain and Cory Whelehon.
Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
