W.M. Goodson

William Arthur "Art" Goodson of Caledonia, Missouri passed away on December 16, 2014 having reached the age of eighty two years, eleven months, and twenty one days. He was born on December 25, 1931 in Delbridge, Missouri a son to the late David Peter Goodson and Ellena (Graves) Goodson.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are three sons William Arthur "Sonny" Goodson of Belgrade, Missouri, Lonnie Goodson and wife Barb of Belgrade, Missouri, and Lennie Goodson of Mineral Point, Missouri; eleven grandchildren: Melinda Goodson, Misty Goodson and Mike Clark, Amanda Goodson, Nathan Goodson, Tyler Hutchings, Timidel Goodson, Riley Goodson, Charlie Goodson, Nicole Goodson and Robert Kratky, Billy DeClue, and Taylor Goodson; nine great grandchildren: Jason, Stormy, Kodiak, Tristan, Lydia, Bailey, Hannah, Isabella, and David; and one dear friend C.J. Sell.

In addition to his parents, Art was preceded in death by three infant brothers; one brother James Leonard Goodson; and one granddaughter Roxanna DeClue.

Funeral services for Art were conducted on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bruce Nipper officiating.
Honoring Art by serving as his pallbearers were Lonnie Goodson, Riley Goodson, Jason Goodson, CJ Sell, Kodiak Goodson, Marvin Moore, Rick Counts and Darrin Portell. Honorary pallbearers were Lennie Goodson, Taylor Goodson, Timidel Goodson, Melinda Goodson, Misty Goodson, Amanda Goodson, Hannah Goodson and Don Delashmit.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Scott-Goodson Cemetery in Belgrade, Missouri where Art received full military honors presented by the United States Air Force and Local VFW Post 6996. All arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
