Wilma Mae Medley of Festus, Missouri departed this life on July 15, 2010 at the Jefferson Regional Hospital having reached the age of seventy six years, eleven months and six days. She was born on August 9, 1933 at Bixby, Missouri a daughter to the late Lloyd Stricklin and Janie (Flowers) Stricklin.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Walter Medley; son Jerry Medley; four sisters and three brothers.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are three daughters Sheila Leutzinger and husband Robert of Festus; Barbara Herrmann and husband Martin of Desoto; Judy Coplin and Scott Friedmeyer of Farmington; two sons Lonnie Medley and wife Lisa of Viburnum; Wayne “Mario” Medley of Desoto; two brothers Leon Stricklin and wife Grace of Belgrade; Silas Stricklin and wife Janice of Salem; five sisters Bertha Hughey of Frohna, Alice Kane of Bonne Terre, Veatrice Brooks and husband Carl of Belgrade, Sue Wright and husband Sam of Belgrade, Debbie DeClue and husband Don of Belgrade; sister in law Dosia Stricklin of Bixby; eighteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 11 AM at the Boss Assembly of God Church with Rev. Paul Davis officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Tony Medley, David Howard, Travis Turner, Derek DeClue, Gary Coplin, Adam Asher, Ernie Paul.
Interment and final prayers were held at Upper Indian Creek Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
