Wilma Linzemann

February 17, 1938 — June 9, 2011

Wilma Jane Linzemann of Rochelle, Illinois departed this life on June 9, 2011 at her residence having reached the age of seventy three years, three months and twenty three days. She was born on February 17, 1938 at Wright City, Missouri a daughter to the late Ira Kent and Martha Mayberry Kent.

Wilma was a devoted Christian. She was baptized at the 2nd Baptist church in Festus. Later she joined the 1st Baptist Church of Herky/Pevely.

Wilma’s love was unconditional. She never met a stranger. She inspired everyone around her to be grateful for all they had and to pray for all those who were less fortunate. Wilma sacrificed herself for others, often doing without. She accepted all hardships put before her without question, always leaning on God for guidance. Her heart was full of love and forgiveness.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her first husband Lanny White; second husband Al Linzemann; five sisters Ruth Ann Smith, Betty Jared, Shirley Chotrow, Loretta Kent, Barbara Kent; two grandsons Michael Weston and Dennis Toomsen.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are four daughters Debbie Boyer and husband Vince of Cadet; Terri Gregory and husband Ken of Rochelle, Illinois; Jayne Bunn and husband Randy of Perryville; Laurie Todd and husband Greg of Oregon, Illinois; son Keith Linzemann and wife Beverly of Oregon, Illinois; step children Doug Linzemann of Arnold; Denise of St. Louis; Suzanne of Missouri; Bonnie of Missouri; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three brothers LeRoy Kent and wife Lee of Bonne Terre, Mo, James Kent and wife Linda of Festus, Mo, and Bill Kent and wife Debbie of Springfield, Mo; one uncle Riley Kent of Festus, Mo; and one aunt Maxine Kent of Pevely, Mo; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

A Funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 12 PM at the First Baptist Church of Herculaneum with Rev. Jeff Purvis officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Vince Boyer, Ken Gregory, Randy Bunn, Greg Todd, Shawn Weston, and Nathan Todd.

Interment and final prayers were held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Festus. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
