Wilma Hayes of Salem, Missouri departed this life on February 5, 2014 at her residence having reached the age of seventy one years, five months and sixteen days. She was born on August 20, 1942 in Shirley, Missouri a daughter to the late Perry Hollinsworth and Myrtle (Miner) Hollinsworth.
In 1976, Wilma was united in marriage to Cleo Hayes and they shared thirty eight years together.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by a daughter Tina Thomlinson, granddaughter Sierra Fernandez, grandson Travis Ruble, sister Geneva (Bunch) Sanderson, five brothers Willard Hollinsworth, Leonard Hollinsworth, Bill Hollinsworth, Stanley Hollinsworth and Perry Hollinsworth.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband Cleo Hayes of Salem; children Denny Levall and wife Brenda of Salem, Jackie Gallagher and husband Tony of Freeburg, Illinois, Paula Gallagher and husband Doug of Fayetville, Illinois, Chuck Hayes and wife Barb of Salem, John Hayes and wife Rhonda of Salem, Marie Hayes Ruble of St. Peters, Sandy Flack and husband Dean of Maryland Heights; sister Patricia Hawkins and husband Dennis of Shirley; sisters in law Beaulah Hollinsworth of Potosi, Marcella Hollinsworth of Potosi, Mary Hollinsworth of Illinois; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 2 PM at the Grassy Hollow Church with Rev. Bryce Wilson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jerrod Levall, Charlie Gallagher, Jason Gallagher, Justin Gallagher, Carie Gallagher and Carolyn Levall.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Grassy Hollow Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
