Willis ?Tune? Leo Coleman of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on February 4, 2009 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of ninety one years, ten months and twenty four days. He was born on March 11, 1917 in Mineral Point a son to the late John Coleman and Mary Bone Coleman.
On April 20, 1946, ?Tune? was united in marriage to Nelma Pearl Glore. They shared almost fifty years together. Mrs. Coleman preceded him on March 13, 1997.
?Tune? served in the United States Army for nearly five years. He was awarded five bronze stars and the good conduct medal. He served in the Normandy Beach Campaign, during the invasion of Europe.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son Bobby Coleman, Sr., three brothers J.O. Coleman, Jerard Coleman and Lucian Coleman.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are two sons Gary Coleman and wife Debby of Mineral Point; Joe Coleman and wife Debbie of Mineral Point; a brother Kenny Coleman and wife Guy of Mineral Point; four sisters Alice Jarvis and husband C.D. of Potosi; Rosemary Jarvis and husband Cecil of Mineral Point; Margaret Bowen of Mineral Point; Pearl Trokey of Mineral Point; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, February 6, 2009 at 11 AM at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Jamie Haguewood officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Scott Coleman, Darrell Coleman, Bobby Coleman, Jr., Tom Dee, Tim Dee and Travis Coleman.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Coleman Family Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
