William Odle

November 14, 1926 — June 7, 2009

William Clarence Odle of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on June 7, 2009 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital having reached the age of eighty two years, six months and twenty four days. He was born on November 14, 1926, a son to the late Lewis Odle and Melissa Aggers Odle.

On October 10, 1947, William was united in marriage to Grace Nelson and the shared forty eight years together. Grace preceded him on December 9, 1995.

William served in the United States Army for a year and a couple of the awards he got were the World War II Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon.

In addition to his parents and wife, William was preceded in death by a daughter Shirley Dasenbrock, sister Dorothy Ford and Brother Junior Lewis Odle.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are two daughters Evelyn Boyer of Potosi; Carol Adams and husband Ralph of Texas; brother James Odle and wife Nellie of Arkansas; sister Susan Ramey and husband Jack of Texas; three grandchildren Jason Boyer and wife Michelle of Texas; Robyn Adams and husband Brad of Texas; Michelle Lopez of Texas; five great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 10 AM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Lynn Thebeau officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Rick Odle, Dan Odle, Randy Odle, Daniel Odle, Brad Edwards and Karl Smith.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Hopewell Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
