William Marler

William Eldean "Jake" Marler, III of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on May 13, 2014 having reached the age of thirty one years, one month and twelve days. He was born on April 1, 1983 in Potosi, Missouri a son to William "Jake" Marler, Jr. and Cathy Wells.
Jake was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Orville Wells and a cousin Wayne Murphy.
On January 21, 2010, Jake was united in marriage to Sarah McCoy.
Jakey loved his wife, Sarah, with all that he was. They made many wonderful memories and enjoyed traveling together.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his parents William "Jake" Marler of Mineral Point, mother Cathy (Wells) Marler of Lake Hannah; wife Sarah McCoy Marler of Potosi; sister Samantha (Marler) Blickenstaff and husband Timothy of Mineral Point grandparents William Marler Sr. and Mary Lou Marler of Mineral Point, Laveda Wells Politte and husband Bill of Mineral Point; nephew Cameron Blinkenstaff; niece Cloe Blinkenstaff; aunts Kim Cox and husband Harold, Tammy Moore Marler, Patricia Boland, Beverly Curry and husband Scott, Mary York and husband Steve; uncle Chatman Marler; cousins Aston Cox, Tyler Cox, Caleb Marler, Cynthia McCloud, Jamie Barton, Laveda Koen, Misty Rice, Randy Murphy, Woodrow Jaycox, Zachery Marler; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 2 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Jim Wade officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Woodrow Jaycox, Randy Murphy, Tyler Cox, Caleb Marler, Zachery Marler, Chris Pidcock, Jeffery Gaines and Nick Henry.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Sunset Hills Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
