William Wesley Maness, also lovingly known by family and friends as “Bunny” was born on April 7, 1951 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a son of the late John Ed Maness Sr. and the late Mae (Pruitt) Maness. Bunny departed this life on September 1, 2021 having reached 70 years of age. .
On November 27, 1967, Bunny was united in marriage to Linda A. King and they shared nearly 54 years together.
Those who remain to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda Maness; daughter, Melissa Schwendemann & Fiancé, Jason Wilkerson; step mother, Blanche Maness; two granddaughters: Savannah Blankmann (husband, Keith) and Hannah Schwendemann; two great granddaughters: Sophie and Madeline Sancegraw; four siblings: Shirley Gowen (husband, William), Beverly McCosar (husband, Victor), Verna Eckhoff (husband, Dave), Lisa Norris (husband, John); very dear friends: Butch & Shirley Bratton, Delbert & Denna Clayton; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
In addition to Bunny’s father and mother, he was preceded in death by his son, son, Jeff Allen Maness; and brother, Johnny Maness.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 8, from 10 AM to 1 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 1 PM held at the DeClue Chapel with Pastor Keith King officiating. Interment will follow at the Maness Family Cemetery.
