William Earl "Billy" Lee of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on June 14, 2016 at the John Cochran VA Medical Center having reached the age of fifty five years, eleven months, and ten days. He was born on July 4, 1960 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a son to the late Earl Thomas Lee and Vivian (Vandergriff) Lee. In addition to his father, Earl Lee, Billy was preceded in death by his grandparents: Earl and Violet Vandergriff and Fred and Ola Lee.
Billy is survived by his mother Vivian Lee of Fredericktown; brothers: Randy Lee and wife Kathryn of Mine LaMonte (Fredericktown), and Ronald Lee and wife Lori of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; and also beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Billy served in the United States Army from February 27, 1978 until November 28, 1984. During his time of service, Billy received the Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Marksman Badge M16 Rifle, Expert Badge Hand Grenade and the Aircraft Crewmember Badge. Among the many things in life that Billy enjoyed, fishing, camping and referee for wrestling were some of his favorites.
Visitation was held Friday, June 17, 2016 at the DeClue Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held Saturday, June 18, 2016, at 1:00 PM held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Mike Vandergriff officiating.
Interment and final prayers will be held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
