William ?Bill? Alfred Beck of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on November 2, 2006 at Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis, having reached the age of 56 years, 10 months and 26 days. He was born on December 7, 1949 at Springtown, Missouri, a son of the late Mahlon Beck and Mabel (Fatchett) Beck.
On April 3, 1969 Bill was united in marriage to Sheila Morgan and to that union four children were born. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a daughter, Christa Danielle Beck and a sister, Alma Politte. Bill also in the United States Army fom 1969-1971 and Vietnam.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a dear and special brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife, Sheila Beck; two sons, Jerel Lee Beck and wife Rechelle of Caledonia, Jerry Beck and wife Charlotte of Potosi; a daughter Nicky Boyer and husband Nathan of Bonne Terre; two brothers, Lester Beck and wife Melba of Hopewell, Stanley Hahn and wife Wendi of Rochester, NH; brother-in-law, George Politte of Hopewell; three sisters, Bonnie Golden and husband Alfred of Hopewell, Ruby Golden and husband Rev. Donald Golden of Hillsboro, Alice Glore and husband Lindell of Mineral Point; five grandchildren, Katelyn Beck, Karlee Beck, Kellen Beck, Sara Beck, and Olivia Boyer.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi with Rev. Bob Thurman and Rev. Donald Golden officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Rick Golden, Donnie Golden, Tim Golden, Lindell Ray Glore, Rick Hollinsworth, Jeff Beck, and Ray Beck.
Interment and final prayers were held at Hopewell Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
