Walter Richards

Walter Edward Richards of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on December 8, 2009 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of seventy nine years, three months and thirteen days. He was born on August 25, 1930 at Berryman, Missouri, a son to the late William Richards and Irene (Fowler) Richards.

On October 15, 1952, Walter was united in marriage to Letty Mae Boyster and they shared fifty seven years together.

In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by three sisters Shirlean Henderson, Helen Richards, Lena Richards; five brothers Herbert Richards, James Richards, Eddie Richards, Allen Richards and Albert Richards.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Letty Mae Richards of Mineral Point; two daughters Irene Bryan and husband Frank of Mineral Point, Della Sanderson and husband Larry of Mineral Point; two sons Tom Richards and wife Pam of Spring Bluff, Missouri, James ?Buster? Richards and wife Laura of Mineral Point; two sisters Velma Thurmond and husband John of Leesburg, Missouri, Gearlean Ward and husband Jim of Oklahoma; two brothers Elmer Richards and wife Loretta of Cadet, Ralph Richards and wife Betty of Ironton; sister in law Ruth Richards; eighteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11 AM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Ardel Grey and Bob Hambey officiating.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
