Wallace Bequette

July 19, 1965 — February 28, 2011

Wallace Arthur “Wally” Bequette of Richwoods, Missouri departed this life on February 28, 2011 at home on his farm having reached the age of forty five years, seven months and nine days. He was born on July 19, 1965 at Festus, Missouri a son to John Bequette and Ruth (Daugherty) Bequette.

On August 30, 2003, Wally was united in marriage to Valerie Groce and they shared eleven years together.

Wally was a diesel mechanic, but the work he enjoyed most was farming. He loved putting on his trademark lace up boots and tromping around the farm. He and his wife actively worked the farm together, milking cows, bailing hay, tending to the chickens and just enjoying the outdoor life together. Wally loved all of his farm animals, especially his yorkie Maverick.

Wally also loved and enjoyed his family, especially his sons. He loved wrestling with his nieces, Samantha, Ashley, Jessica, Mackenzie and Brooklyn. He was a kind and gentle soul to all who met him. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten.

Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Valerie Bequette of Richwoods; parents John and Ruth Bequette of Richwoods; four sons Bryar Bequette of Sullivan; Drake Bequette of Sullivan; Ken Groce of Texas; Paul Groce of Columbia; two brothers Keith Bequette and wife Kim of Dittmer; Roger Bequette and wife Melody of Richwoods; sister Michelle Khani and husband Fred of St. Louis; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
