Vondel "Red" Dodson

Vondel “Red” Wayne Dodson of Desloge, Missouri was born on March 6, 1967, a son to Edna Joyce (Bowles) Dodson and the late Lymon Leon Dodson. On July 8, 2001, Red was united in marriage to Patricia L. Rulo and together they shared sixteen years.
Red entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 having reached the age of fifty years, three months, and seven days.
Red will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his beloved wife, Pattie Dodson of Desloge; two sons: Jeff Dodson of Portageville, and Jesse Dodson of Lafe, Arkansas; two daughters: Lavonda Melendez and husband Miguel of Granbury, Texas, and Allise Clarke of Potosi; mom, Joyce Dodson of Hopewell; brothers: Roger Dodson of Hopewell, Dale Dodson of Hopewell, and Gary Bowles and wife Michelle of Dittmer; and eleven grandchildren: Klara, Junior, Nikolas, Lukas, Brycein, Carson, Aubrianna, Kenleigh, Payton, Emily, and Landon.
Red is preceded in death by his father, Lymon Leon Dodson.
Visitation for Red will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the DeClue Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel, with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
Interment and final prayers will be held at the Hopewell Cemetery.
