Virginia "Lee Ann" Mathis

Virginia "Lee Ann" Mathis of Roodhouse, Illinois, was born on April 25, 1949, in St. Louis, MO, a daughter to the late Jacob Levi Elliott and the late Virginia (Morris) Elliott. Lee Ann passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 having reached the age of seventy-two years, one month and eight days.

Those who remain to cherish her memory include her five children: Andrew (Angela) Mathis, Charlotte Skaggs, Kevin (Angela) Mathis, Dana (Becca) Williams, and Terry Mathis; fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; brother, Albert (Lisa) Elliott; special cousin, Linda Weida; special aunt, Pat Sherman.. Lee Ann is also survived by extended family and friends.

Lee Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Virginia Elliott; husband, Alan Mathis; siblings: Kenny Elliott, Grace Conrad, Brad Elliott, David Elliott, Jacob Elliott II.

Visitation will be Friday, June 4, 2021 from 11 am to 2 pm at DeClue Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 2 pm at DeClue Funeral Home with Bro. David Sutton officiating. Interment will follow at New Diggins Cemetery in Mineral Point, MO.
