Virgil Cain

Virgil Presley Cain of House Springs departed this life on October 9, 2008 at his residence having reached the age of seventy four years ten months and eight days. He was born on December 1, 1933 at Palmer, Missouri, a son of the late Fred Cain and Margaret (Shipley) Cain.

He was united in marriage on December 8, 1955 to Ruby Price and they shared fifty two years together. Ruby preceded him in death on January 18, 2008. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son Terry Dale Cain, sister Rose Ann Tarwig and brother in law Harry Tarwig.

Those who remain to mourn his death include one sister Goldie Boyer and husband Leonard of Mineral Point, five brothers Donald Cain of Potosi, Daniel Cain and Flossie of Potosi, Billy Joe Cain and wife Mamie of Potosi, Lindell Cain and wife Jean of Mineral Point and Kenny Dale Cain of Potosi. Also, remaining a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral Services were conduced on Monday October 13, 2008 at 2 PM at the Britton Chapel with Pastor Kris Taylor and Cecil Warren officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Wegert, Bryan Warren, Eric Warren, Denny Farmer, Mickey Lashley and Eric Cain.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Hopewell Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
