Virgil Lesley Boyster of Mineral Point was born July 20th, 1935 in Potosi, Missouri, a son to the late Howard T. Boyster and Lila (Range) Boyster. On October 1st, 1956 Virgil was united in marriage to Grace Marie Politte and two children were born unto this union.
Virgil passed away January 2, 2018 at the Missouri Baptist Medical Center having reached eighty-two years of age.
In addition to his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Grace Boyster; daughter, Debbie Briley; three brothers: Willard, Don, and Patrick; and three sisters: Marie, Juanita and Ruby.
Virgil is survived by one son, Lesley Boyster and wife Laura of Mineral Point; grandson Scott Boyster and wife Tara of Cadet; brother, Mike Boyster; two sisters: Thelma Knapp of Potosi and Darlene DeClue and husband Charles Of Richwoods; two great-grandchildren: Kyle and Rylee Boyster, other grandchildren and a special friend, Leona Kean of Potosi. Virgil is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
Virgil was a journeyman mechanic for over twenty years. He enjoyed working on numerous projects after retirement, evening trips to McDonalds, fishing and spending time with his family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Visitation for Virgil will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday, January 5, 2018, beginning at 9:00 a.m., until the time of service.
A funeral service to honor Virgil will begin at 11:00 a.m., held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Don Strauser officiating.
Interment and final prayers will be held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi. All funeral arrangements have been cared for by the DeClue Funeral Home.
