Violet Skaggs

February 12, 1926 — March 7, 2013

Violet Margaret Skaggs of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on March 7, 2013 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of eighty seven years and twenty three days. She was born on February 12, 1926 in Palmer, Missouri a daughter to the late Fred Coffman and Lula Mae (King) Coffman.

In addition to her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her husband Paul Eugene Skaggs, four brothers Hershall Coffman, Herbert Coffman, Bobby Coffman, Marvin Coffman; two sisters Edna Thomas and Gladys Thomas.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are two sons Donald L. Skaggs and wife Rosemary of Mineral Point; Pete Skaggs and wife Donita of Mineral Point; three daughters Martha Jane Perigen and husband Ronald of Highland, Illinois; Patricia Politte of Mineral Point; Rita Sue Owens of Mineral Point; thirteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 2 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Bob Thurman officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Kevin Politte, Jason Perigen, Michael Perigen, Cory Politte, Eric Skaggs and Ron Perigen.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
