Viola Moses

Viola May Moses of Steelville, Missouri departed this life on October 21, 2011 at the Mercy Medical Center having reached the age of sixty seven years, five months and twelve days. She was born on May 9, 1944 at Washington County, Missouri a daughter to the late Joseph Missey and Sylvia (Wright) Missey.

On April 27, 1962, Viola was united in marriage to Joseph "Bill" Moses and they shared forty nine years together.

Viola loved life. She loved family gatherings. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and sisters. She was a caretaker to all.

Some of Violas favorite pastimes were fishing, gigging, cooking and going to church.

In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by a grandson Carl Joseph "C.J." LaChance.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband Bill Moses of Steelville; two daughters Bonnie (Donnie) Eye of Potosi; Susie LaChance and Linzy Agnew of Bonne Terre; son Ronnie (Debbie) Moses of Potosi; brothers Charles (Leona) Missey of Berryman; Frank Missey of Steelville; Bill (Linda) Missey of Berryman; six sisters Virginia (Lester) Moses of Steelville; Eula Ennise of St. Louis; Lily (Mac) Jarvis of Potosi; Mary Mercer of Potosi; Diane Reynolds of Potosi; Judy (Rainey) Gray of Steelville; four grandchildren Don Michael (Samantha) Eye, Cody LaChance, J.W. Moses, Ashley Moses and one great grandchild Ariana Eye; special friends Dale and Carla Bollinger and family; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were held on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Leonard Moreland and Rev. Bryan Meade officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Tim Brewer, Mac Jarvis, Cody LaChance, John Evans, Don Michael Eye, Sparkie Bollinger; Honorary Pallbearers J.W. Moses, Zack Brewer, J.C. Brewer and Josh Jarvis.

Interment and final prayers were held at Lost Creek Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
