Viola Bodimer

April 6, 1931 — March 13, 2012

Viola Marie Bodimer of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on March 13, 2012 at her residence having reached the age of eighty years, eleven months and seven days. She was born on April 6, 1931 at Shirley, Missouri a daughter to the late Riley C. Turnbull and Nora (Miner) Turnbull.

Viola was the most loving and caring person in the world. Over the years, she took care of not only her kids, but also all of her grandkids and great grandkids. She was our favorite cook, babysitter, doctor and whatever else we needed her to be.
She was a wonderful role model for all that knew her. We could not have asked for a better wife, mother, granny, Aunt Nome or friend. We are grateful for each and everyday that we had with her.

Everyone that entered her house was welcomed with a smile and plate of food. She loved to have family gatherings and was always ready to go shopping. She loved to help Bill in the garden and took pride in the flowers that she grew.

Viola was a member of Grassy Hollow Baptist Church where she filled in playing the piano whenever they needed her. She loved her church and church family. When a friend or neighbor needed help or a meal, she was always there.

In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Bodimer; son Larry Bodimer; brother Willard Mincher; two sisters in law Betty Rock and Margie Bodimer; three brothers in law Pete Bodimer, Bennie Bodimer and Eddie Stinett.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her son Leroy (Connie) Bodimer of Potosi; special niece Barb (Gary) Blair of Potosi; one sister in law Ermma (Earl) Braswell of Sikeston, Missouri; two sisters Georgenia Gilliam of Potosi; Geraldene Robinson of Potosi; brother in law Bill Rock of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren Billy Ray (Tracy) Bodimer of Potosi; Tonya (John Chris) Adams of Cadet; Crystal Bodimer of Potosi; Jason Bodimer of Potosi; Shane (Tyla) Blair of Potosi; Shawnda (Floyd) Dickinson of Potosi; Shannon (Kiley) Blair of Potosi; twelve great grandchildren Larry Bodimer, Kayelee Bodimer, Kaitlyn Aubuchon, Maddilyn Bodimer, Allie Porzeinki, Zack Dickinson, Hannah Dickinson, Brennon Blair, Brayden Blair, Myla Blair, Madison Turntine, Macie Turntine; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
