Vineta Evelyn Gregory of Gerald, Missouri passed away on May 12, 2016 at her residence having reached the age of ninety four years, one month, and two days. She was born on April 10, 1922, in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter to the late Fred Metcalf and the late Nellie (Washburn) Metcalf. At the age of fourteen, Vineta was united in marriage to her late husband Arnold Gregory and had her first child at the age of fifteen.

Vineta canned and pickled all of her life until the age of ninety two.

Vineta is survived by her five sons: Fred Gregory of Gerald, George Gregory of Smiths Grove, Kentucky, Gary Gregory of Arlington, Texas, Jesse Gregory and wife Joyce of Union, and Warren Gregory and wife Margaret of Union; brother George Metcalf of Fort Wayne, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Vineta is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arnold Gregory; two sons: Earl Gregory, Sr., and Clarence Gregory; grandchildren: Jennie and Shelby; sister Ann Rainey; and brothers: James Metcalf and Bill Metcalf.
