Vicki Carter

November 26, 1968 — June 9, 2012

Vicki Lynn Carter of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on June 9, 2012 at her residence having reached the age of forty three years, six months and fourteen days. She was born on November 26, 1968 in St. Louis, Missouri a daughter to Henry Johnson and Geraldine (Dixon) Johnson.

On December 23, 1997, Vicki married Daniel Carter and they shared fourteen years together.

Vicki was a very independent person, even in childhood. She never wanted to put anyone out, but was always ready to help others and do whatever she could for them. She enjoyed camping, being outdoors and decorating her home. She was very outgoing. She loved family gatherings and loved seeing everyone there. She loved her job with Pyramid and worried about her co-workers and clients when the time came that she could not be at her desk as much as she wanted.

Vicki fought a long and hard battle to be able to stay with her husband, family and friends, but in the end, the Lord saw the angel that Vicki was and took her home. She will be missed greatly by all that knew and loved her.

Vicki was preceded in death by a her grandparents Henry Johnson; George and Marie Dixon; step mother JoAnne Dixon; father in law Floyd Carter; mother in law Mary Carter and brother in law Francis Carter.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband Daniel Carter of Potosi; parents Henry Johnson and Geraldine Johnson of Potosi; grandmother Lois Johnson of Poplar Bluff; brother Henry (Michelle) Johnson, II of Blackwell; step daughter Misty (Walley) Moeller of Cadet; step son Jason (Angela) Carter of Potosi; two sisters in law Jackie (Randy) Warden of Potosi; Tina Carter of Potosi; five step grandchildren Johnathon and Sarah Hornsey, Blair and Seth Moeller, Caleb Carter; nephew Trey Johnson, niece Kimberly Johnson, great nephew Karson; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, Pyramid Co-workers and her church family, all whom she loved dearly will miss her .

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 11 AM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Sharon Glore officiating.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Palmer Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
