Vernon Mason

Vernon Chester Mason, Sr. of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on May 17, 2014 at his residence having reached the age of seventy two years, nine months and eleven days. He was born on August 6, 1941 in Ishmal, Missouri a son to Charlotte (Jarvis) Mason and the late Carson Mason.
On June 7, 1980, Vernon was united in marriage to Anna Pierce and they shared thirty three years together.
Vernon was a member of the Potosi First Baptist Church.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Anna Mason of Potosi; mother Charlotte Mason of Potosi; six children Michael Mason and wife Belinda of Branson, Bradford Mason of Oklahoma, Kimberly Mason of Alabama, Tera Pashea and husband Arnold Jr. of Potosi, Scott Williams of Potosi, Vernon Jr. "Taco" Mason and wife Heather of Potosi; brother Noel Mason and wife Joyce of Black; sister Linda Ralston and husband Jim of St. Louis; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Vernon was preceded in death by his father Carson Mason.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 2 PM at the Potosi First Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Haguewood officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Michael Mason, Brad Mason, Scott Williams, Vernon Jr. "Taco" Mason, Arnold Pashea and Gus Pashea. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Pierce, Marvin Pierce, Joey Pashea and Keith Pashea.
All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
