Vernon Johnson

Vernon Richard Johnson of Potosi, Missouri was born on April 29, 1932 in Peach Orchard, Arkansas a son to the late Jimmy James Johnson and the late Delcie (Boshears) Johnson. On November 7, 1951, Vernon was united in marriage to Bonita J. Pruett and they shared sixty five years together.

Vernon went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 1, 2017 having reached the age of eighty four years, eight months and three days.

Vernon will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his loving and devoted wife, Nita Johnson of Potosi; two daughters: Dianna Yount of Potosi; Sandra Howell and husband Gary of Irondale; one son Paul Johnson and wife Vicki of Potosi; five grandchildren: Angel Rawson; Marty Yount and wife Melissa; Andy Aubuchon; Lauren Forbes; Matthew Aubuchon; seven great grandchildren: Colton Rawson; Brayden Rawson; Kallie Rawson; Casey Yount; Brenna Yount; Lynsey Yount and Rhett Yount; also surviving are nieces, nephews relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at the DeClue Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 2:30 PM until 7:30 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday evening beginning at 7:30 PM with Elder Mike Jarvis officiating.

Interment and Final Prayers will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2017 at the Woodland Heights Cemetery, Rector, Arkansas, beginning at 1:00 PM. Full Military Honors will be presented by the United States Navy.
