Velda Lashley of Potosi, Missouri, was born on August 10, 1945, in Fisk, Missouri, a daughter of the late George and Geneva (Howell) Miller. Velda passed away on December 30, 2021, having reached the age of seventy-six years, four months, and twenty days.
On September 18, 1971, Velda was united in marriage to John Lashley in Poplar Bluff and spent 50 years together.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include her husband, John Lashley; children: Shawneen Edward, and Dawn M. Garrett; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Lisa Marie, Nicholas, Shawn Michael, Cyndle, and James Davyd; four great grandchildren; sister, Verma Kinder; and nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Velda was preceded in death by her parents, George and Geneva Miller; and brother, Paul Miller who passed in Vietnam.
No services will be held.
