Tyler Jon Peterson of Potosi, Missouri entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, having reached the age of twenty nine years, seven months and eleven days. He was born on December 13, 1985 in St, Louis, Missouri a son to Belinda Emily and the late Terry Peterson.
Tyler is survived by his parents Belinda Link and husband Edward of Potosi; sister Terah Gennaria and husband Ben of Overland, Missouri; grandmother Arlene Peterson of St. Louis; Tyler's Nan Evangeline Wigger and friend Leon Camillo of Potosi; uncles Larry Peterson and wife Theresa of St. Louis; Harold Peterson of California; George Emily and wife Kaye of Mokane, Missouri; Leonard Link and wife Tammy of Mineral Point; aunts Katie Bourisaw and husband Gary of Choctaw, Oklahoma; Rita Bone of Potosi; also surviving are many cousins, extended family and a host of friends.
In addition to his father, Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents Calvin and Iva Emily; Pete Peterson; Leonard and Vergeline Link; great grandparents George and Ida Belle Wigger and uncle Leroy Peterson.
Tyler (also affectionately known as T.J., Pete, and Petey) loved nature and the great outdoors. He could tell you the name of any tree, bush, flower, or weed. He loved to hunt and fish, and would rather sleep in the woods and listen to the coyotes howl than sleep in his own cozy bed. He had a charming wit and a winsome smile, and never met a stranger. He had a true heart for people, and would do anything to meet a need. He loved his family dearly, and delighted in making his Momma smile with funny quotes, articles, and pictures he randomly sent throughout the day. His love for his God, his compassionate soul, his kindness and respect to anyone he met, and his sweet, precious spirit will be remembered and missed. In a world of darkness, Tyler truly did let his little light shine.....
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Potosi Southern Baptist Church with Rev. H. Wayne Isgriggs officiating. Honoring Tyler by serving as pallbearers were Adam Lake, Brett Lands, Travis Edwards, James Callahan, Larry Peterson, Spencer Peterson, Tony Salters and Roger Summers.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Redbud Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Potosi.
Funeral arrangements were respectfully cared for under the direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
