Truman Evans

Truman ?Lee? Evans of Cadet, Missouri departed this life on December 12, 2006 at his residence, having reached the age of 61 years, 3 months and 16 days. He was born at Potosi, Missouri on August 26, 1945, a son of the late Homer Evans and Elizabeth (Kitchell) Evans.

On February 18, 1994 he was united in marriage to Mary Lee Hayes. They shared over twelve years of marriage together. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his granddaughter. She was the love of his life. He listened to country music and enjoyed hunting and going out to eat.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Opal Dale.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his wife Mary Evans of Cadet; his daughter Bernice Pepper and husband Tom of Arnold; his granddaughter Krystal Marie Pepper; three step children, Mitchell Girardier and wife Cheryl, Marshia Suntrup and husband Glen, Matthew Girardier and wife Amy; five sisters, Rose Assaf and husband George, Hazel Parter, Goldie Farris, Pearl McCormick and husband James, Phyllis Davidson and husband Bruce; four brothers Roy Evans, Albert Evans and wife Karen, Gene Evans and wife Rose, Carl Evans; four step grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10AM Friday at the Britton Chapel with Mr. Wayne Leftridge officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Bruce Davidson, Albert Evans, Tom Pepper, Gene Evans, Roger Mowery, Robert Eaton and Eric Evans.

Interment and final prayers were held at Horine Cemetery, Richwoods, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
