Timothy White

Timothy Linn White of Potosi, Missouri, was born on June 2, 1958 in St Louis, Missouri, a son of the late James and Irene (Sherrill) White. Tim passed away on August 17, 2023, having reached the age of 65.

Tim grew up in Flat River, Missouri. He was the oldest of four children. He attended and graduated from Central School with the class of 1976. Tim started working as a young boy, developing a strong work ethic. His first job was with Flat River Cable Company, then to Flat River Glass, as well as a couple more companies until joining the Carpenters Union till his retirement. After Tim retired, he went to work for Coleman Trucking driving a truck.

Tim was united in marriage to Lisa Nicholson on August 20, 1989 at Potosi United Methodist Church. Together, Tim and Lisa shared twenty-three years together. Tim was a loving son, husband, dad, brother and uncle. He was his daughter, Kim’s, biggest fan, always supporting her in all of her horse events, especially barrel racing. Tim developed a love and passion for horses as a young boy. That passion was passed on to his daughter, Kim.

His memory will be forever held in the hearts of those who loved him including his daughter, Kimberleigh White; siblings: Leanna McFarland (husband, David), Lynne White, Sherrill AuBuchon (husband, Michael); in-laws: Robin Boyer and Sherrie Cresswell Eye (husband, Michael); nieces, nephews; and his faith companion puppy, Scarlett.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa (Nicholson) White on April 9, 2013; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Dale and Juanita Nicholson; brothers-in-law: Jimmy Cresswell and Billy Joe Boyer; sister-in-law, Tammy (Nicholson) Boyer; and nephew, Adam Boyer.

Visitation will be Monday, August 21, 2023 from 4 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 E High St, Potosi, MO 63664. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 from 9am until the time of his Funeral Service at 11am. Interment will follow in the Nicholson Family Cemetery in Potosi.
