Tillie Marcee

Tillie Marie Marcee of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on September 9, 2008 at Georgian Gardens Nursing Home, having reached the age of 95 years 6 months and 24 days. She was born on February 16, 1913 at Grubville, Missouri, a daughter of the late Ray Hoppler and Bertha Lenard Hoppler.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Marcee; son Rudy Marcee; daughter Kathreen Chandler; step-son Frank Marcee; step-daughter Bonnie Wallace; brothers Raymond Hoppler, Clyde Hoppler and Emmett Hoppler; and sister, Myrtle Shoultz.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include a son William Marcee and wife Evelyn of Fenton; daughter Stella King of Steelville; step son Robert Marcee and wife Maurie of Potosi; sisters Virginia Hoppler of Steelville and Alice Gannon of Illinois; 23 grandchildren; 50 plus great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 1 pm at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Gary King, Michael Lenter Sr., Michael Lenter Jr., Steven Lenter, Joseph Marcee, and Robert Short.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Steelville Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
