Thomas A. Kean of Carthage, Missouri departed this life September 7, 2010 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center, Springfield, Missouri, having reached the age of sixty one years. He was born on December 8, 1948 in Mineral Point, Missouri a son to the late George Thomas Kean and Myrtle Lena (Bowen) Kean.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by siblings Ernest Kean, Lonnie Joe Kean, Loretta Bowen, Sue Boyer, Jack Revelle, Sherman Revelle, James Elbert Kean, Billy Kean, Mary Ann Kean, Timothy Kean and Rosetta Cox.
Thomas worked as a truck driver for Dale Bowman in Exeter, Missouri. He had also worked at Justin-Bagby and ConAgra of Carthage.
Thomas married Lillian Mae Driemeier on February 24, 1967 in Elvins, Missouri.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Lillian Kean of Carthage; one son Tommy Kean, Jr. and wife Tammy of Carthage; two daughters Rose Lea Kean of Fairland, OK, Tabitha Stark and husband Jeff of Carthage; special nephew Michael Kean and wife Donna of Neck City; four brothers Darren Kean of Oklahoma, Teddy Kean and wife Debbie of Potosi, James Kean of Malden, James Ivory Kean of Irondale; three sisters Ellen Masson and husband Linnie, Wanda Marler and husband Donnie, Ruth Portell and husband Dennis all of Potosi; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 1 PM at DeClue Chapel with Rev. Larry DeGonia officiating.
Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Ulmer Funeral Home and DeClue Family Funeral Home.
