Theresa Jones

Theresa Jones of Desloge, Missouri departed this life on October 23, 2012 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center having reached the age of sixty two years, three months and five days. She was born on July 18, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri a daughter to the late Samuel Tate Sr. and Gladys (Saale) Tate.

In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her husband Preston Sylvanus Jones; brother Samuel Tate Jr.; sister Frances Rawl; niece Anna Marie Tate; two nephews Scott Tate and Joseph Tate.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are one son Preston Jones and girlfriend Kelly Fisher of Park Hills; six daughters Lisa Fischer and husband Greg of Mineral Point; Brenda Williams and husband Steve of Farmington; Binie Cain and boyfriend Chris Smithson of Farmington; Geneva Jarvis and boyfriend Brandon Hahn of Farmington; Paula Bourbon and husband Kent of Cadet; Amy Stroup and husband Bill of Desloge; three brothers Mark Tate of Mineral Point; James Tate and wife Donna of Bonne Terre; Clarence Tate and wife Nina of Mineral Point; twenty two grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on October 27, 2012 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Wesley Kean officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jordan Jarvis, Jacob Jarvis, William Jones, Ryan Jones, Keith Bourbon, Clarence Tate, James Tate, Mark Tate.

Interment and final prayers were held at the New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
