Steven Trokey

Steven Eugene Trokey of Potosi, Missouri was born on October 21, 1954 in El Paso, Texas, a son to the late Clinton Trokey and the late Wilma (Blount) Trokey. On September 12, 1981, Steve was united in marriage to Pamela Yount and they shared thirty-seven years together. Steve passed away on July 12, 2019 at his residence having reached the age of sixty-four years, eight months and twenty-one days.

In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Glenwood and Ava Yount; brothers-in-law: Gordan Nickelson and Neil Richards; and one great nephew, Brooke Nickelson.

Steve will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his beloved wife Pamela Trokey; two children: Gretchen (Marty) Simpson and Clinton Trokey; five grandchildren: Taylor Simpson and Seth Rhyneer, Karver Trokey, Jennifer Edmondson, Jordan (Dave) Kopp, and Lauren Simpson and Jake Rumbold; nine great-grandchildren: Alexa, Camilla, Annie, Connor, Evelyn, Titus, Jude, Hailee and Jett; brothers-in-law and sisters in-law: Georgia Nickelson, Kathleen Richards, Larry and Ruth Ann Yount, Gary and Pat Yount, Mickey and Denny Branaugh, Dennis Yount, and Debbie and Rick Harbison; aunts and uncles: Bob and Laverna Kay, Charles Trokey, and Tom and Connie Trokey; special cousins: Bob and Carol Reed; and also many dear friends and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life service to honor Steve will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Potosi Elks Lodge beginning at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Memorial envelopes will be available at the service.

Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
