Steven Tinsley

Steven Joseph Tinsley of Irondale, Missouri departed this life of September 13, 2014 at his residence having reached the age of sixty four years, nine months, and nine days. He was born on December 4, 1949 in Bonne Terre, Missouri a son to the late Herbert Lee Robert Tinsley and Norma Jean (Barker) Tinsley-Doggett.
During the Vietnam Conflict, he served his country on board the U.S.S. Sacramento. He enjoyed playing pool, singing karaoke, doing woodwork, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family. Steven is a former member of the Eagles and a current member of the VFW. He has always cared for his country, family, and friends. Sometimes to the point of suffocation, but the love was always there.
On July 31, 1999, Steven was united in marriage to JuLee Renee (Jenkins) Tinsley at the Pine Valley Full Gospel Church in Potosi, Missouri. Together since 1990, Steven and JuLee shared twenty four years together.
In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his step-father Francis Joseph Doggett, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
Steven is survived by his wife JuLee Tinsley of Irondale; one son Gary Tinsley and girlfriend Heather Conger of Irondale; one daughter Samantha Eye and husband Don of Potosi; one brother Terry Doggett of Park Hills; one sister Cindy House and husband Donald of Park Hills; one aunt Bernice Wood of Farmington; two grandchildren Ariana Eye and Zayden Eye; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the DeClue Family Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Creamer officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Danny Dunn, Jim McGowen, Toby Rodgers, Donnie House, Gary Tinsley, and Patrick Lewis.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Jenkins Cemetery in Belgrade, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
