Steven Wesley King of Potosi, Missouri was born on November 10, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri a son to the late Wesley James King and the late Betty June Love. On July 3, 1980, Steven was united in marriage to Laura Madry.
Steven entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the St. Anthony’s Medical Center at the age of fifty-nine.
Survivors include his wife, Laura King; four children: Teresa (Nick) Compton, Katherine (Aaron) Sherbahn, Karrie (Jeff) Gaines, Stephanie King and Brandon Moore; nine grandchildren: Caleb King, Cadin Gaines, Austin Gibson, Addison King, Jaidlynn Gaines, Corbin Compton, Alina Harness, Mayleana Sherbahn-King and Elizabeth Sherbahn; four sisters: Lisa (Wayne) Joplin, Leslie (Steve) Harris, Christina (Jim) Marsh, Deborah Watson; In-Laws: Kathy (Gary) Oloyed, Donnie Madry, Tina (Tom) Patterson, Leslie Vandyke, Debra (Lee) Skyles, David (Melissa) Madry; also surviving are a host of children who grew up in their home throughout the years.
In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his step father, Burl Watson; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Albert and Martha Madry.
The most important thing to Steve in life was his family. He enjoyed family gatherings. Steve loved listening to music and he especially loved when all of the kids would play their guitar and sing together. Steve also enjoyed cooking meat in his smoker, motorcycles and specialty beers. Steve will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life and Love will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 4 p.m. held at the Crossroads Fellowship Christian Church, 706 Bonnie Street, Potosi, Mo. 63664.
