Steven Jarvis

Steven Lynn Jarvis of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on July 13, 2009 at the Mineral Area Regional Center having reached the age of fifty four years, seven months and twenty four days. He was born on November 19, 1954 at Bonne Terre, Missouri, a son to the late Ernest ?Dude? Jarvis and Hazel (Wilson) Jarvis.

On January 12, 1974, Steve was united in marriage to Twila Eye and they shared thirty five years together.

Steve was a member of the Potosi Elks Lodge and retired from MODOT after twenty nine years of service.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life are wife Twila Jarvis of Mineral Point; three sons Rosco Jarvis of Mineral Point; Buckey Jarvis and wife Chastity of Mineral Point; Tim Jarvis of Mineral Point; two daughters Kelly Farris and husband Jimmy of Mineral Point; Tona Smith and friend Randy Moak of Bonne Terre; three brothers Lloyd Jarvis and wife Jenny of Bonne Terre; Roger Jarvis and wife Beverly of Hopewell; Ricky Jarvis and friend Tina of Belgrade; five grandchildren Brittney Hochstatter, Hailey Draper, Lindsey Draper, Thad Farris, Garth Farris; two step grandchildren Austin Moak and Evan Moak; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 2 PM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Randy Sutton, Larry Allen, Barry Turnbough, Will Allen, Joe Summers and Tim Short. Honorary pallbearers were Garth Farris and Kristi Sutton.

Interment and final prayers were held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
