Steve Dunn

Steve Ray Dunn of Cadet, Missouri departed this life on June 16, 2006 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, having reached the age of 53 years, 11 months and 7 days. He was born on July 9, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Gerald Dunn and Hazel Faulkerson Dunn.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Dunn and Gregory Dunn; a sister Patricia Marie Dunn; and a brother in law, Sam Turnbough.

He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a member of the Potosi Southern Baptist Church.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his fianc? Julie Ruble of Cadet, his daughter Tonia Fortner and husband Troy of Cadet; his son Jason Dunn and wife Crystal of Cadet; his brother Jerome Fred Dunn and wife Tonya of Festus; three sisters, Sandy Turnbough of Mississippi, Loretta White and husband Jackie of Festus, Darlene Grimshaw and husband Don of Festus; a sister in law, Karen Dunn of Mineral Point; four grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM on Tuesday June 20, 2006 at the Britton Chapel with Rev. Art Gormley officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Will Trest, Garland Fitzwater, Joe Portell, Troy Fortner, Jackie White, Kevin Fortner, and honorary pallbearer, Lewis Johnson.

Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
