Stanley Hollinsworth

Stanley Eugene Hollinsworth of Potosi, Missouri departed this life March 27, 2010 at his residence having reached the age of seventy eight years, seven months and nineteen days. He was born on August 8, 1931 at Shirley, Missouri a son to the late Perry Hollinsworth and Myrtle (Miner) Hollinsworth.
On September 6, 1952, Stanley was united in marriage to Beaulah Griggs and they shared fifty seven years together.
Stanley worked at Sears Automotive for thirty years. Prior to his retirement, he spent his weekends and vacations building his retirement home. He loved watching the snow fall and the birds on his birdfeeder.
Stanley was a member and a deacon of the Lakewood Missionary Baptist Church. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that had a need. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, tinkering and reminiscing with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by a granddaughter Jennifer Loeffler, sister Geneva (Bunch) Sanderson, three brothers Willard Hollinsworth, Leonard Hollinsworth and Bill Hollinsworth.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Beaulah Hollinsworth of Potosi; daughter Janet Loeffler of St. Louis; son Doug Hollinsworth and wife Connie of Potosi; brother Perry Hollinsworth, Jr. and wife Marcella of Shirley; two sisters Wilma Hayes and husband Cleo of Salem; Patricia Hawkins and husband Dennis of Shirley; five grandchildren Keith Hollinsworth and wife Calinda, Jason Loeffler and wife Edna, Daniel Hollinsworth, Erica Litton and husband Gordon, Amy Brand and husband Lee; five great grandchildren Ryan Rickerd, Blake Hollinsworth, Alexis Hollinsworth, Allicia Litton, Hailee Brand; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 11 AM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Alva Enloe and Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Keith Hollinsworth, Jason Loeffler, Danny Hollinsworth, Tom Griggs, Ron Griggs and Bruce Hollinsworth. Honorary pallbearers were Blake Hollinsworth, Ryan Rickard, Brent Hawkins and Bucky Hawkins.
Interment and final prayers were held at Lakewood Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
