Stanley Ray Benson, of Potosi, Missouri departed this life on December 5, 2005 at his residence, having reached the age of 49 years 3 months and 5 days. He was born on August 31, 1956, a son of the late Alfred Benson and Bettie (Sumpter) Benson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred Benson, Jr. and Stephen Benson.
Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his sons, Michael Greenlee of Belgrade, and Cory Benson of Bonne Terre; his sisters, Juanita Benson, Gulf Port, MS, Beverly Strong of Potosi, Teresa Benson and special friend Ron Johner of Caledonia; his brother, James ?Pete? Benson and wife Donna of Potosi; aunt, Wanda Sumpter of Potosi; nieces; nephews; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
A graveside memorial service was held on Sunday, December 11, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hopewell Cemetery.
