Shirley Vandergriff
February 27, 1940 — June 16, 2011
Shirley Bernice Vandergriff of Cadet, Missouri departed this life on June 16, 2011 at the St. Clare Health Center having reached the age of seventy one years, three months and twenty days. She was born on February 27, 1940 at Washington County, Missouri a daughter to Violet (Hedrick) Vandergriff and the late Earl Vandergriff.
Shirley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Potosi.
In addition to her father, Shirley was preceded in death by a brother Virgil Vandergriff; nephew Brian Vandergriff and a brother in law Earl Lee.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her mother Violet Vandergriff of Cadet; sister Vivian “Jeri” Lee of Mine La Motte; two brothers Mike Vandergriff and wife Lana of Cadet, Larry Vandergriff and wife Phyllis of Irondale; sister in law Judy Vandergriff of Lonedale; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
A Funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton and Bro. Jamie Haguewood officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Gary Vandergriff, Kevin Lurkins, David Vandergriff, Jeremy Pratte, Wayne Lee and Robert Vandergriff.
Interment and final prayers were held at Sunset Hill Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
