Shirley Kean

Shirley Ann Kean of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life February 4, 2010 at the Des Peres Hospital having reached the age of seventy one years, five months and fourteen days. She was born on August 21, 1938 at Arkansas a daughter to the late William Chaney and Lora Bell (Farris) Chaney.

Shirley was a member of the New Diggins Church.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Albert Kean; two daughters Janet Elizabeth Kean, Tammy Sue Kean; three sons Kenneth Wayne Kean, Ronald David Kean, Larry Lee Kean; brother Jody Chaney; sister Rita Rebecca Chaney; four grandchildren.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are three daughters Mary Ann Minchue and husband Sam of Leasburg; Judy Martin and husband Larry of Mineral Point; Rebecca Zeisler and husband Glenn of St. Genevieve; five sons Albert Butch Kean and wife Dee of Texas; Steven F. Kean of Mineral Point; Albert Eugene Kean of Mineral Point ; Tony Lynn Kean of Mineral Point; William Arthur Kean and wife Debbie of Mineral Point; Four sisters Louella Griffith, Patsy Chaney, Jane Chaney and Linda Sue Willis and many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 2 PM at the DeClue Family Chapel with Rev. Larry Walburn officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Kenny Hedrick, William Kean, Jr., Forrest Kean, Anthony Gegg, Keith Wapley, Wayne Kean and Harvey Price.

Interment and final prayers were held at New Diggins Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
