Shirley Davis

Shirley Ann Davis of House Springs, Missouri departed this life on April 18, 2012 at her residence having reached the age of seventy four years, seven months and twenty one days. She was born on August 28, 1937 at Mineral Point, Missouri a daughter to the late William "Bean" Gough and Florence (King) Gough.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband James Davis; son Dennis Woods; two sisters Leatta Coleman, Margaret Currington; three brothers William Gough, George Gough and Bobby Gough.

Shirley was saved years ago at the Hopewell Church of God and recently rededicated her life back to Christ.

Those who remain to mourn her passing are two sons Tim Davis of Iowa, Stephen (Christine) Woods of Cedar Hill; four daughters Carol Woods of House Springs; Judy Scott of House Springs; Debbie Woods of House Springs; Vickie (David) Gipson of Cedar Hill; daughter in law Vickie Peterson of Blackwell; brother Larry (Sandy) Gough of Farmington; sister Patricia (Darrell) Politte of High Ridge; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 1 PM at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. Roy Holland officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Scott Gipson, Don Belfield, Jason Woods, Adam Gipson, David Gipson, Corey Volz, Chad Weller and Chris Belfield.

Interment and final prayers were held at the Hopewell Cemetery. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
