Shelba Jean LeClaire nee Jenkins of Desloge, Missouri departed this life, surrounded by her family on May 22, 2019 at her residence having reached eighty years of age. Shelba was born on August 14, 1938 in Belgrade, Missouri, a daughter to the late James R. Jenkins and the late Olive L. (Tedder) Jenkins. On September 25, 1986, she was united in marriage to Elroy "Lee" H. LeClaire in Clayton, Missouri and they shared thirty-two years together.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Elroy LeClaire; six children: Karl (Jennifer) Littell, Cindy Littell, Steven Littell, Vicky (Wayne) Mueller, Debbie (Tim) Hrenak, and Sandy Hall; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy (Becky) Jenkins; sisters: Leona Boelloeni, Brenda Powell, and Virginia (Jim) Rhea; many dear nieces, nephews and cousins; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Jones and Alice Duke.
In addition to her parents, Shelba is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert Hall; three sisters: Delores Sparks, Vivian Sisk, and Nancy Jenkins; and four brothers: Carl "Buck" Jenkins, Gary Jenkins, Terry Jenkins, and infant Ronald Jenkins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., held at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. beginning at 9:00 a.m.
A funeral service to honor Shelba will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2019, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
Interment and final prayers will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to DeClue Funeral Home.
