Shayley Akers

Shayley Nicole Akers of Cadet, Missouri passed away on August 31, 2016 at her residence having reached the age of nineteen years, one month, four days. On Juy 27, 1997, Shayley was born in Festus, Missouri, a daughter to William F. Akers and Lela Kincaid.

Shayley is survived by her father, Billy Akers and wife Betty of Cadet; mother, Lela Thompson and husband Dustin of Bonne Terre; siblings: Kaylynn Akers of Bonne Terre, Austin Akers of Cadet, Dawson Akers of Cadet, Addison Akers of Cadet, Brady Thompson of Bonne Terre, Madison Thompson and Paige Thompson – both of Farmington; grandparents: Glennon and Karen Kincaid of Cadet, Linda Conway of Cadet, and Pat Akers of Potosi; God-father, Brian Politte; God-mother, Bobby Volkert; and also surviving are a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, and many dear friends who will forever hold the memories of Shayley in their hearts.

Shayley is preceded in death by her grandparents, David Akers and Lindell Conway.

Visitation for Shayley was held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the DeClue Funeral Home, beginning at 2:00 PM. A funeral service began at 6:00 PM on Tuesday evening, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Alvin O’Neal officiating. DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the funeral arrangements for Shayley during this time of remembrance.
