Shane Richards

Shane Allen Richards of Mineral Point, Missouri passed away at Mineral Point, Missouri as the result of a vehicle accident on Friday, June 13, 2008, having reached the age of thirty-nine years, four months and eight days. He was born on February 5, 1969 at Kirkwood, Missouri, a son of Wilma Yount Richards and the late Jessie Richards.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Damon Woolsey; grandparents and great grandparents.

He loved to hunt, fish and just loved being outdoors. He was saved at the age of twelve. He loved his family and spending time with them very much. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of his life include his mother, Wilma Woolsey of Mineral Point; his sons, Allen Michael Richards, Shawn Austin Richards Batey; his daughter, Hannah Rose Richards Batey; three brothers, Jessie Wayne Richards of Mineral Point, Michael Ray Richards of Belgrade, Bruce Edward Richards and wife, Christy of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Delores Chambers and husband, Jeff of Gerald, Missouri and Karen Fritz and husband, Ron of St. Clair; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, June 16, 2008 at 1 PM at the Britton Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Jamie Haguewood officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Chambers, Ron Fritz, Chris Chambers, Joe Doss, Terry Gibson and Chris Richards.

Interment and final prayers were held at Antioch Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
