Sean David Hampton, of Mineral Point, Missouri, departed this life on October 12, 2023 at the age of 52. Sean was born on October 30, 1970 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son to the late David Lee Hampton and the late Vivian Lee (Roberson) Hampton.
On November 22, 2015, Sean was united in marriage to Heather Bowles and they shared eleven years of life and love together from the time they met to the day Sean went to be with the Lord. Sean was very honored to have served in the United States Army. He loved his country and was a proud American. Sean was a great dad to his three children whom he was exceptionally proud of. He loved his family with all of his heart. Sean was also known to be a food connoisseur. He had a knack for cooking and served as his family’s personal chef. In addition, Sean enjoyed hunting mushrooms and deer, playing cards with his kids and grandkids. Sean was a fun, kind hearted man. His memory will be remembered and forever cherished.
Sean is survived by his wife, Heather Hampton; three children: Devin Hampton and AnnMarie Goerisch, Jessica Hampton and Fiancé, Brett Snow, Carley Hampton and Drew Skiles; step son, Anthony Bowles; two grandchildren: Athena and Bo Henry Bowles; two brothers: Scott Hampton and Jacob Hampton (wife, Lacey); mother-in-law, Sharon Langley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Wayne and Vickie Bowles, Crystal Bowles, Shawn "Bo" and Timmarie Bowles, and Amber and Jason DeClue; nephews and nieces: Kameron (wife, Sydney), Colton, Kaelynn, Cayden, and Kullen; and great niece Ellie. Also surviving are uncles and aunts: Ross and Jean Roberson; Joann and Chris Creswell; other nieces, nephews, cousins and his puppy dogs: Princess Di and Nahla.
A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 5 to 8 pm at DeClue Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Sunday, October 22, from 12 pm until the time of his Funeral Service at 2 pm, held at DeClue Memorial Chapel. Pastor Matt Woods will be officiating. Interment and final prayers will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
