Sandra Sue Cartee of Mineral Point, Missouri also known by family and friends and Sister Sandye went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, May 5, 2019 surrounded by her family having reached the age of seventy six. She was born on October 7, 1942 in Stony Point, Missouri, a daughter to the late Leo Brand and the late Thelma (Glore) Brand.
Survivors include her four children: David (Wanda) Gamble, Ross (Melody) Gamble, Rochelle Nickles, and Lawana Gamble; special adopted son, Buddy (Jamie) Reed; fifteen grandchildren: David (Lari) Gamble, Austina (Tim) Morris, Shawn Pierce, Courtney (Patrick) Fierce, Kayla (Clint) Mowry, MacKenzie Gamble, Ruby (Jesse) Moss, Destiny (Scott) Buhler, Cassandra (Jeremy) Bess, Cierra Nickles, Katelyn Nickles, Jordy, Nickles and Tim Mueller, Kristi Gamble and AJ Griggs, Christopher (Laura) Misuraco, and Michael (Felecia) Misuraco; thirty-three great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren; also surviving are special friends: Norma Becker and Don and June Dickinson; nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.
Sister Sandye was preceded in death by her parents: Leo "Cotton" and Thelma Brand; her first husband and father of her children, Rev. Ross "Bud" Gamble; second husband, Rev. Jim Cartee; son, Ricky Gamble; son-in-law, Dennis Nickles; one granddaughter, Brittany Nickles; two grandsons: Dennis Ross Nickles and Joel Scott Gamble; one great granddaughter, Kayli Dawn Gamble; two brothers: Shelby and Harlan Brand; and two special nephews: Ronnie Brand and Austin Gamble.
Visitation was Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 5-8 PM and Friday, May 10, from 9-11 AM at DeClue Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service was held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11 AM held in the DeClue Chapel with Sis. Sandy Mocabee and Bro. Mike Mocabee officiating.
Interment was held in the New Diggins Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were respectfully entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Funeral Home.
