Zelda Ruth Rasnic of Potosi, Missouri was born on March 1, 1944, a daughter to the late Harry Woods and the late Hester Lawson. Ruth entered eternal rest on Friday, January 12, 2017 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached seventy-three years of age.
Ruth will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her son, Joseph Hochstatter and Greta of Caledonia; four step-children: Grayson Rasnic and Tabitha, Becky Sampson and Tom, Mark Rasnic and Dawn, and Angie Weston and Skip; brother, Harry "Woody" Woods and Helen of Potosi; five sisters: Rhonda Woods of Mineral Point, Brenda Boyer and Larry of Mineral Point, Gladys Woods of Farmington, Dorothy Link and Troy of Potosi, and Sandy Rook and George of Mineral Point; seven grandchildren: Brittany Hochstatter-Stotler and Nick, Lora Beth Ward, Ethan and Griffin Rasnic, Megan Sampson, Nathan Sampson and Keri, Victoria Rasnic, and Josh Rasnic and Lauren; three great-grandchildren: Theodore Stotler, Carlee Rutledge, and Clara Rasnic; and special nephew, David Hochstatter and Tammy; also surviving are many dear nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Malcom "Mike" Rasnic; great-grandson, Andrew Stotler; and sister, Alvina Dee.
Visitation for Ruth will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the DeClue Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, beginning at 11:00 AM.
A funeral service for Ruth will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, held in the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating. Interment and final prayers will be held at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi.
