Ruth Ann Pulliam

Ruth Ann Pulliam was born on June 5, 1967, in Rolla, Missouri. She grew up in Irondale, Missouri as one of sixteen children to Rayford Pulliam Jr. and Nellie (Shaw) Pulliam. 

Throughout her life, Ruth cherished time spent outdoors and caring for her animals. She had a deep love for children and often took on the role of caregiver for many of her nieces and nephews. Family gatherings, especially during the holidays, were particularly special to her, as she enjoyed shopping and playing family trivia, creating lasting memories. Ruth was known for her adventurous spirit and her willingness to try new things, bringing laughter and fun to those around her.

Ruth passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2025, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her fiancé, Jerry Parmley; her three children, Elizabeth (David) Walter, LeAnn Parmley, and Hazel Parmley; and her thirteen siblings: Gary (Mary Ann) Pulliam, James "Butch" Pulliam, Tommy (Elaine) Pulliam, Tina Pulliam, Brian "Zeke" Pulliam, Gale (Diane) Pulliam, Dwayne (Jennifer) Pulliam, Sandra White, Rusty (Alana) Pulliam, Missy Pulliam and Chris Mowry, Aaron "Pete" Pulliam, Brandon (Crystal) Pulliam, and Crystal McDowell. Ruth is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rayford "Bud" and Nellie Pulliam; her brother, Kevin Pulliam; her sister, Terri Pulliam; and her two nephews, Matthew Pulliam and Jason Pulliam.
