Ruby Vance

Ruby Ann Catherine Vance of Mineral Point, Missouri departed this life on October 7, 2006 at her residence, having reached the age of 43 years, 8 months and 3 days. She was born at Cadet, Missouri on February 4, 1963, a daughter to Bertha Nettles Vance and the late Edward ?Mann? Gamble.

Ruby was a loving and devoted daughter, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and friends and she loved spending time with them. She took great pride in her flower garden and loved spending time outdoors. She loved to dance and listen to music, but most of all, she loved playing with those grandkids.

In addition to her father, Ruby was preceded in death by her brother, Freddie Vance, Jr. and her sister, Betty Cain.

Those who remain to mourn the passing of her life include her life long, loving friend and companion, Garland Fitzwater; her mother Bertha Vance; her children, Melissa Hartman and husband Scott of Mineral Point, Darrell Vance and wife Rachel on Lonedell, Anthony Vance and special friend, Shanna of Potosi, Clifford Vance of Mineral Point; four sisters, Tammy Vance and husband Arnold of Mineral Point, Ginny Bryers and husband Larry of Van Buren, Bonnie Valley and husband John of Mineral Point, Kim Asher and husband Jeff of Bonne Terre; six brothers, John Vance of Pensacola, FL, Perry Vance and wife Anna of Lonedell, Daniel Vance and wife Tammy of Mineral Point, Allen Vance and wife Bonnie of Cadet, Ronnie Vance and wife Cindy of Mineral Point, Francis Sancegraw and wife Gloria of Potosi; three grandchildren, Harley Vance, Caleb Land and Matthew Vance; nieces; nephews; cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 PM on Monday, October 9, 2006, at the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi with Rev. Joe Gensler officiating
Interment and final prayers were held at Hopewell Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Potosi.
