Ruby Gilstrap

Ruby Elnora Gilstrap of Desoto, Missouri departed this life on February 15, 2011 at the Jefferson Regional Hospital having reached the age of seventy years, seven months and ten days. She was born on July 5, 1940 at Potosi, Missouri a daughter to the late Fred Lee and Ola (Henderson) Lee.
On February 5, 1978, Ruby was united in marriage to Ernest Gilstrap and they shared thirty three years together.
Ruby was a member of the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church of Festus, Mo.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by six brothers Willie Lee, Clifford Lee, Earl Lee, Frank Lee, Charles Lee, Robert Lee; two daughters Pattie Johnson and Evy Marie Gilstrap.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband Ernest Gilstrap of Desoto; daughter Susie Trowbridge and husband Steve of Berryville, Arkansas; two brothers Richard Lee and wife Barbara of Green River, Wyoming; Wayne Lee of Fredericktown; four sisters Geneva Hammond of Chandler, Texas; Violet Briggs of Valle Mines; Shirley Webb and husband Vernon of Perryville; Freda Branham and husband Eddie of Valle Mines; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 11 Am at the DeClue Chapel with Rev. D.J. Edwards officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Tony Lee, Larry Lee, Bruce Lee, Kelly Branham, Cory Branham and Lynn Jarvis.
Interment and final prayers were held at Cove Cemetery, Arcadia. All arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of the DeClue Family Funeral Home.
